| Yara is a Native of São Paulo, Brazil and is living in the U.S. since 1990. She taught Portuguese Language and also worked as a translator. She developed her own Language Course that she taught one-to-one and also in a group setting when she worked at the Los Angeles Harbor College Extension Program. One of Yara's hobbies was singing and she became a performer of a local Brazilian Cultural Group in Long Beach, singing and also teaching Portuguese. During this time she was writing short stories, but she was eager to show these stories on the big screen, so she started to study the craft of screen writing. Yara is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish as well. She has written four full-length screenplays on spec and two of them had made Semi-Finals in a Screenplay contest in Los Angeles, also one short script. |
