Rest the Journey -- About this eBook ---- |
|
Rest the Journey is the story of Sally and Ann and their lives and friendship. Sally is only seventeen when her parents were killed in an accident. Dazed and in pain, she quietly leaves her home town, Ann, and her boyfriend behind to go and live with her aunt and uncle. Thirty-two years later, Sally goes "home" to reclaim her "real" life.
Sally finds two things unchanged: her love for music and her friendship with Ann. Together Sally and Ann stand beside each other as Sally faces the pain of a love lost and Ann tries to help her abused daughter. In the midst of this is Wonder Boy, Ann's delightful grandson who becomes the center of the family they eventually create.
After reading this story, you will be reminded of your childhood friends, you may want to pick up a phone and call one. For the friends we make in our youth are the ones we keep forever in our hearts.

| Bobbie Shore | | When Bobbie Shore cannot be taught to read, the citizens of Wrightsville close their eyes to her and pretend that she does not exist. Even when Bobbie is involved in a deadly shooting, they turn their heads and go about their business.
But in the1960s, things begin to change. Wrightsville's soap factory burns to the ground and only one man can save the town's homeless and poor.
When he meets Bobbie, he saves her, too. Together, they make Second Street a community of peace and harmony as Wrightsville's citizens fear the worst: that their town will change.
Bobbie Shore is the fairy-tale-like story of a girl whose brilliance is not of the usual kind, and who, in her kind and tolerant way, teaches an entire town how to love.
